who we’ve worked with
Since it’s inception, Fargone Productions has worked countless bands and institutions to deliver quality recordings. Here’s just a taste of the clientele that we’ve worked with and continue to work with:
Institutions
Chicago Public Radio – Chicago Amplified – Chicago Amplified is a Web-based audio archive filled with educational events taking place throughout the Chicago region.
Chicago Public Libraries – Since first opening its doors to the public in 1873, the Chicago Public Library has maintained its status of one of the City’s most democratic of institutions — providing all Chicagoans with a free and open place to gather, learn, connect, read and be transformed.
Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies – Spertus is a Jewish institution grounded in Jewish values that invites people of all ages and backgrounds to explore the multi-faceted Jewish experience. Spertus inspires learning, serves diverse communities and fosters understanding for Jews and people of all faiths, locally, regionally and around the world.
Nextbook – Nextbook Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Jewish literature, culture, and ideas. It runs both Nextbook Press, a series of books on Jewish themes published by Schocken, and Tablet Magazine, an online magazine about Jewish life.
Archeworks – Archeworks is an alternative design school where students work in multidisciplinary teams with nonprofit partners to create design solutions for social and environmental concerns.
Music
Pigface – Pigface is an industrial rock supergroup formed in 1990 by Martin Atkins and William Rieflin.
Sheep on Drugs - Sheep on Drugs are a British techno / dance-punk music group, formed by Duncan X [aka King Duncan] (vocals) and Lee Fraser [aka Dead Lee] (guitar/keyboards)
Cracklin Moth – Cracklin Moth performed and recorded from 2002 to late 2007. Founded by songwriter Matt Ammerman, the group had 10 full-time members throughout it’s life, eventually evolving from a quartet to a six-piece effort leaning heavy into the alt-country and Americana territories.
Harris and the Mood – Emerging from the clubs of Chicago, Illinois, Harris and the Mood broke into the pop scene in 2008 with their debut album, Kingdom Come. Aaron Harris’ provoking lyrics with straightforward sing-a-longs to produce a solid record chock full of ultra-catchy gems.
Alison Breitman – Chicagoan Alison Breitman writes startlingly mature alterna-rock ditties and–finally we can say this–has a voice to match. Too often, vocal chops in pop-rock are an afterthought but Breitman’s gorgeous soprano never strains above her witty material. Fans of That Dog, Veruca Salt, Elvis Costello and Lisa Loeb have a new ally in town.
Mic One – Mic One has been a staple in Chicago’s hip hop scene for over a decade. Influences range from hip hop’s golden era of the late 80′s and early 90′s, to the timeless sounds of classic rock.
Noah Gabriel – Noah’s music blends the best of rock and blues, with a hint of country, and his guitar influences span Hendrix to Stevie Ray to John Mayer.
